Plumbing Engineer (MEP) – Real Estate Projects

About the role

The Plumbing Engineer (MEP) will design, review and implement plumbing systems for large‑scale residential and commercial real‑estate projects in the Greater Kolkata area. This full‑time, on‑site position involves creating drawings, specifications and calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and check plumbing drawings, specifications and calculations for water supply, distribution, pressure management and sanitary drainage.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines to integrate building services.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Support value engineering, vendor coordination and maintain project documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet performance, cost and timeline requirements while complying with relevant codes and regulations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of plumbing design for large residential and commercial buildings.
• Experience with water supply systems, storage, distribution, pressure management and sanitary drainage.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards and safety regulations applicable to plumbing and MEP systems.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and maintain accurate documentation.
• Previous experience in real‑estate or large‑scale mixed‑use developments is an advantage.
