Plant Utility

About the role

Lamb Weston is seeking a Plant Utility to support sanitation, line inspection and rework activities in its Delhi, LA facility. The role ensures equipment cleanliness, product quality and safe work conditions while meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform line‑break sanitation, remove stagnant product, mix and handle chemicals, and conduct end‑of‑cycle cleaning.
• Inspect raw and finished product for foreign material or quality defects and remove defective items.
• Rework finished cased product to meet hourly/daily targets through bag blending, case opening, and tote loading across all lines.
• Remove cases from pallets, operate tote dumps, and handle bag blending operations.
• Execute firewatch duties and work in confined spaces or at elevated locations as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and actively participate in safety and GMP programs.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, shoveling, twisting and turning.
• Comfort working in hot, cold and noisy environments while wearing a sanitation suit.
• Manual dexterity, good coordination and balance for overhead and under‑equipment tasks.
• Qualified for firewatch, confined‑space entry and elevated‑work tasks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning agents and safe chemical mixing.
• Use of high‑pressure hoses, ladders, air hoses and hot‑water cleaning units.
• Manual inspection of product for foreign material.
• Bag blending, tote‑dump operation and case handling.
• Understanding of safety, first‑aid and GMP procedures.
