Plant Cost Controller

About the role

The Plant Cost Controller will partner with operational management to develop budgets, monitor financial performance and support decision‑making for a manufacturing facility in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This role ensures accurate cost reporting, variance analysis and continuous improvement of plant efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational managers to develop and file budget templates, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Prepare provisional results, load them into the controlling tool and perform variance analysis against budget and prior year.
• Support the accounting team during month‑end close, presenting results and explaining key drivers.
• Develop forecasts, challenge data for reliability and assist managers in using financial tools.
• Monitor industrial equipment efficiency, analyse KPIs and propose actions to improve plant performance.
• Conduct financial modeling, cost‑management support and ad‑hoc analyses for business functions.
• Produce clear reports from financial data, highlighting impacts of data quality on company statistics.

Required profile

• ICWA or CMA qualification.
• 2‑5 years of experience in costing, variance analysis, budget preparation or process improvement.
• Preferably experience in dairy manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, communication skills in English and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
