Planning & Logistics Officer (P&L)

About the role

The Planning & Logistics Officer will lead P&L operations for the UB Contract unit in Batala, ensuring smooth production and timely dispatch of finished goods. This role combines inventory planning, logistics coordination, and compliance management to support the brewery’s supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan monthly inventory of raw materials, packaging materials and consumables in line with production schedules.
• Arrange daily material supply, monitor old bottle returns, and optimize bottle utilization for cost savings.
• Participate in unit and head‑office reviews, flag issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Control material losses, vehicle halting charges, and manage annual budget updates.
• Oversee label registration processes and coordinate new packaging material development.
• Generate import/export permits, update daily P&D reports and maintain MIS data.
• Maintain store and inventory control, including daily stock reports, vendor reconciliations, FG stock ageing, purchase orders and GRN entry in SAP.
• Ensure legal compliance with State Excise, plan truck allocations, evaluate transporters, and process freight bills in SAP.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in production planning and logistics.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors, transporters and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to excise and label registration.
• Detail‑oriented approach to inventory control and budgeting.
