P&ID Designer

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a P&ID Designer to create and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams for pharma and process industry projects. The role involves using AutoCAD, Plant3D and CADWorx to translate engineering sketches into accurate, standards‑compliant drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and edit P&IDs using AutoCAD, Plant3D or CADWorx based on engineering sketches, mark‑ups and specifications.
• Produce all required project drawings, reports, 2D plans, schematics and sections for each project phase.
• Update layouts and P&IDs throughout the project lifecycle to reflect design changes.
• Verify P&IDs for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project standards and industry codes.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure requirements are correctly captured.
• Maintain and expand P&ID libraries and templates within Plant3D/CADWorx.
• Work in accordance with cGMP guidelines, Arcadis SOPs and SHE regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma in a technical or engineering discipline with a certified course in Plant3D or CADWorx.
• 2‑3 years of experience creating P&IDs for pharma or process industry projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI/ISA, ASME B31.3, BS, DIN, ASTM.
• Medium level English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within budget and schedule constraints.
