Operations Team Member – Capital Market & Custodial Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Team Member to join the Client On‑boarding team at the Custody/DDP desk of a leading bank. The role focuses on supporting foreign portfolio investors (FPI) and foreign direct investors (FDI) through the full onboarding lifecycle and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process onboarding documentation for FPI and FDI clients.
• Explain and educate prospective clients on SEBI, RBI and other regulatory requirements.
• Handle modification requests for existing FPI/FDI accounts.
• Review client structures and activities to verify compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Interact directly with clients and business teams to resolve documentation queries.
• Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure timely account opening.
• Manage audit and regulatory queries from start to finish.

Required profile

• Knowledge of SEBI and RBI KYC guidelines, SEBI (FPI) regulations and operational guidelines, and custody business processes.
• Proficiency in reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Established relationships with regulatory officials such as SEBI and NSDL.
