Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer ensures safe and efficient depot operations, overseeing stock replenishment, wagon unloading, quality assurance, and dispatch planning. The role supports customer satisfaction and profitability through accurate billing, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate tank wagon unloading, receipt line‑ups, and pump sequencing in line with shift schedules.
• Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and fleet while adhering strictly to SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with sales teams and OMCs to fulfill demand, initiate amendment requests in NIIMS, and execute indents as per linkage plans.
• Verify invoice accuracy (quantity, product, price, tax) before dispatch and ensure TT loading follows prescribed procedures.
• Conduct daily dispatch reconciliation, monitor dispatches against MDP, and halt dispatches when limits are reached, escalating to the Operations Manager.
• Sign product JC with OMCs at agreed frequencies and ensure error‑free invoicing per IQCM standards.
• Validate product receipt against IQCM, Product Acceptance Manual, and supplier specifications; stop loading if quality deviations are observed.
• Reject TTs failing pre‑load checks, ensure proper hose connections, and perform random dips to monitor bay performance.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency in a depot environment.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including sales, OMCs, and shift personnel.
• Attention to detail for invoice verification, quality checks, and compliance with SOPs.
• Proactive problem‑solving to address demand fulfillment and dispatch discrepancies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NIIMS (Nayara Integrated Management Information System).
• Knowledge of IQCM (Integrated Quality Control Management) procedures.
