Operations Officer – Depot Management

About the role

The Operations Officer ensures safe and efficient depot operations, covering stock replenishment, tank wagon unloading, quality assurance, and accurate dispatch planning. The role supports customer satisfaction and profitability through error‑free billing, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate tank wagon unloading, receipt line‑ups, and dispatch sequencing in line with sales demand.
• Monitor and enforce SOPs, work instructions, and quality management systems during each shift.
• Conduct daily dispatch reconciliation, monitor meter performance, and stop operations on quality or safety deviations.
• Handle ethanol receipt, sampling, testing, unloading, and blending, rejecting non‑conforming batches.
• Verify invoice accuracy, ensure correct product loading, and manage customer feedback and concerns.
• Implement and review systems, policies, and corrective actions to meet operational targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in depot or logistics operations with a focus on quality and safety.
• Strong ability to coordinate with sales teams, OMCs, and shift supervisors.
• Familiarity with demand fulfilment processes, inventory reconciliation, and customer service handling.
