About the role

The Laundry and Logistics Operator is responsible for managing the full cycle of industrial laundry operations for a resort, ensuring that textiles are cleaned, sorted, and delivered efficiently. The role combines hands‑on equipment operation with transportation of linens between the laundry area and the resort’s island.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and operate industrial washers and dryers according to fabric type and specific washing instructions.
• Load, unload, and transport linens using a truck between the laundry area and the resort island.
• Monitor washing cycles, adjust settings as needed, and repeat cycles when cleaning standards are not met.
• Sort textiles by type, colour and dirt level before washing to prevent damage and staining.
• Measure and add detergents, bleach and other chemicals following each load’s specifications.
• Maintain records of chemical usage and ensure safe storage.
• Inspect washed items for cleanliness and defects, and perform additional washes if required.
• Perform regular cleaning of washing and drying machines to maintain efficiency and avoid cross‑contamination.
• Report equipment malfunctions or repair needs to maintenance.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with laundry team members to prioritize loads according to resort demand.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping regarding clean textile availability.
