New Product Development Executive

About the role

The New Product Development (NPD) Executive will drive the end‑to‑end launch of new FMCG products, working across R&D, supply chain, brand and sales teams. Based in Mumbai with a hybrid work model, the role ensures timely delivery, cost control and quality compliance for each product introduction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning NPD task forces, secure stakeholder participation and document detailed minutes of meetings.
• Track and execute launch activities against defined timelines, flagging risks and proposing mitigation paths.
• Coordinate micro‑planning with cross‑functional teams to close open points, troubleshoot delays and manage escalations.
• Maintain project networks using ZOHO or MS Project and generate regular status reports.
• Facilitate handovers from R&D to SCM procurement, ensuring first‑time‑right raw and packaging materials and accurate costing.
• Work with brand and sales teams to align production and demand plans for the first three months post‑launch.
• Monitor production, audit, dispatch and depot connection plans, capture deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Support post‑launch analysis and continuous improvement of NPD processes.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech (MBA is a plus) with at least 3 years of experience in NPD, supply planning or related FMCG roles.
• Strong understanding of FMCG, beauty and personal‑care product cycles.
• Excellent networking, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a systematic approach to processes and gap analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ZOHO (project management module).
• Experience with MS Project for scheduling and reporting.
