National Projects Head

About the role

The National Projects Head will lead the execution function for a large multi‑brand retail network across India. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering new stores, renovations, relocations, closures and asset transfers, ensuring each project meets brand standards, cost targets and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of new store openings, partial and full renovations, relocations, closures and asset transfers across multiple regions.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, material procurement and cost control to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
• Lead vendor selection, negotiation and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with quality, audit and governance standards.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, balancing brand design intent with execution quality and cost efficiency.
• Implement and monitor digital project management platforms, leveraging data‑driven decision making and AI‑enabled tools where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety and corporate governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with formal Project Management education.
• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in retail store execution and large‑scale rollout programs.
• Proven track record of leading large, cross‑functional teams and delivering projects on time, within budget and to defined quality standards.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation ability and problem‑solving skills.
