Application Engineer (Building Automation)

About the role

The Application Engineer will provide application and product support for commercial building automation systems, acting as a product expert for internal teams and customers while contributing to North American projects as part of a remote engineering and commissioning team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application and product support and act as a product application expert for internal teams and customers.
• Troubleshoot equipment controllers, advanced sequences of operation, and assist with remote start‑up.
• Investigate issues, develop solutions, and deliver recommendations.
• Design and create sequences of operation for HVAC air and water systems to optimize building performance.
• Develop and implement workflows using real‑time data through Niagara APIs for seamless integration with Niagara supervisory control systems.
• Maintain technical proficiency through ongoing training and professional development.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in Commercial Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Experience working on North American projects and providing remote engineering and commissioning support.
• Niagara N4 certification and strong knowledge of Tridium Wire Sheet programming.
• Hands‑on experience with BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
