Metal Fabricator – Custom Architectural Metalworks

About the role

Ornate Inc. is seeking a full‑time Metal Fabricator to join its on‑site team in Mohali. You will work on bespoke architectural metalworks such as gates, railings, staircases and structural components, turning design concepts into high‑quality finished products.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and measurements to fabricate custom metal parts.
• Cut, shape, form and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication machinery.
• Perform grinding, finishing and welding operations while ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Inspect completed pieces for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workshop cleanliness.
• Operate a forklift for material handling and movement of finished products.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers and production staff to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven metalworking ability, especially in cutting, forming and assembling metal parts.
• Experience with hand tools, grinding techniques and power‑tool operation.
• Basic forklift operation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and commitment to safe practices.
• Reliability, attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in metal fabrication or a related trade is an advantage.
