MES Functional Consultant – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MES Functional Consultant with deep expertise in automotive manufacturing. The role involves leading MES/MOM implementations across 2‑wheel and 4‑wheel production lines, ensuring seamless integration of production, quality, and logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate business requirement workshops with production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and engineering teams.
• Perform AS‑IS/TO‑BE process mapping, fit‑gap analysis, and functional solution design.
• Define functional requirements, user stories, business rules, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and configure MES functionalities such as production execution, order management, planning, quality management, traceability, Andon, labor tracking, electronic work instructions, vehicle tracking, rework management, and dispatch authorization.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and shop‑floor teams to deliver solutions.
• Support SIT, UAT, deployment, hyper‑care, and user training.
• Drive process standardisation, best‑practice adoption, and global roll‑outs across multiple plants.
• Participate in pre‑sales activities, effort estimation, demonstrations, and RFP responses.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of MES/MOM consulting experience, with at least 5 years in automotive manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience delivering a full MES implementation lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of 2‑wheel and 4‑wheel vehicle manufacturing operations.
• Experience working with OEMs or Tier‑1 automotive suppliers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

• Manufacturing process modelling.

• Reporting and manufacturing analytics.
• Traceability and genealogy solutions.
