Medical Virtual Assistant (Associate)

About the role

Datamatrix Technologies is looking for a Medical Virtual Assistant to handle front‑desk operations for a U.S. healthcare provider. The position is fully remote, full‑time and requires a professional, confident individual with excellent English communication skills. You will interact daily with patients, providers and staff, ensuring all communications adhere to HIPAA standards. The role requires a quiet home workspace and reliable internet connection to support seamless virtual operations.

Key responsibilities

• Call patients to confirm appointments (day before)
• Collect on patient statements
• Receive and process referrals and request medical records
• Schedule patient visits and procedures
• Provide customer support via phone and email
• Update patient data in EHR/EMR systems
• Maintain HIPAA‑compliant communication

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English
• Clear, confident phone presence with U.S. patients and clients
• Prior experience in U.S. healthcare or medical office settings
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
• Own computer, reliable internet and a quiet workspace
• Availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
