Medical Affairs Consultant – Claims Substantiation (APAC)

About the role

Hire Digital is looking for a Medical Affairs Consultant with a focus on claims substantiation for its APAC market. The role will lead the update and expansion of the internal claims matrix for RADIESSE® and ULTHERAPY®, ensuring that product claims are scientifically sound and compliant for both healthcare professional and consumer communications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end review, update and expansion of the RADIESSE® and ULTHERAPY® claims matrix.
• Conduct structured literature reviews to capture new APAC‑specific clinical studies, real‑world evidence and consensus papers.
• Critically appraise evidence quality, strength and relevance using recognised evidence‑grading principles.
• Determine which claims are defensible for HCP‑facing versus consumer‑facing use and refine claim wording accordingly.
• Establish a clear claim hierarchy, identify differentiating claims and build a comprehensive reference library.
• Identify evidence gaps and recommend priority claims and future evidence‑generation opportunities.
• Ensure alignment with medico‑legal and regulatory review standards and internal approval processes.
• Present findings and recommendations to medical, marketing and regulatory stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in medical or scientific claims review, medico‑legal review (MLR), regulatory affairs or medical affairs within pharmaceuticals, medical devices or aesthetics.
• Strong critical‑appraisal skills with confidence interpreting clinical study design, endpoints, statistics and evidence grading.
• Proven experience conducting literature reviews and validating references.
• Solid understanding of promotional claim principles and the differing substantiation standards for HCP versus consumer communications.
• Excellent scientific writing with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
