Mechanical Service Engineer – AWS Data Center

About the role

Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Mechanical Service Engineer responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical and HVAC systems in AWS data centers across India. You will ensure continuous, reliable operation of critical facility infrastructure while supporting 24x7 on‑call and rotational shift requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end operations and maintenance of data‑center mechanical assets, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
• Plan, execute, and document repairs and upgrades to site‑critical infrastructure.
• Manage asset and inventory records, develop SOPs, emergency response procedures, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate incident and emergency response, review incident reports, produce trend analyses, and communicate updates to management and vendors.
• Provide hands‑on facility support and act as the primary technical resource for mechanical and HVAC systems.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and HVAC systems in a data‑center or industrial environment.
• Ability to work 24x7 on‑call and rotate shifts as needed.
• Strong technical writing skills to produce SOPs, method statements, and incident reports.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external vendors.
