Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment in the plant. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising preventive and predictive maintenance activities while adhering to safety policies and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following established policies, processes, and SOPs.
• Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with Production, Technology, and CES teams.
• Develop resourcing plans for routine maintenance and shutdown jobs.
• Collect mechanical discipline data, monitor KPIs, and report performance to senior maintenance leadership.
• Plan and control inventory of mechanical spares, issue parts for jobs, and support procurement activities.
• Assist in preparing maintenance cost estimates and budgeting, analysing utilization.
• Execute and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production and quality losses.
• Analyse equipment condition, monitor performance trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out preservation activities and manage shutdown execution according to schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Ability to develop and follow preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory control and spare parts management.
• Capability to work collaboratively with production, technology, and engineering teams.
