Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment in the plant, overseeing predictive and preventive maintenance activities while complying with company policies, safety standards and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Support the creation of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with production, technology and engineering teams.
• Create resourcing plans for routine maintenance and planned shutdown jobs.
• Collect mechanical performance data, monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior maintenance leadership.
• Plan and control inventory of mechanical spares, issuing parts for job execution as needed.
• Assist discipline manager with spare‑part identification, procurement follow‑up and budgeting.
• Execute and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks ensuring quality, safety and timely completion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production and quality losses.
• Analyse equipment condition and performance trends to identify irregularities and drive improvements.
• Carry out preservation activities according to schedule to maintain equipment functionality and availability.
• Manage the execution of shutdown jobs according to plan.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial plant environment.
• Ability to develop and follow preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Familiarity with KPI monitoring, data collection and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory control and spare‑parts management.
• Capability to collaborate with production, technology and engineering teams.
• Understanding of safety, quality and budgeting requirements.
