Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will support the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment in the plant. The role oversees and performs predictive and preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability while adhering to safety policies, RIL guidelines, and allocated budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with Production, Technology, and CES teams.
• Develop resourcing plans for routine maintenance and shutdown jobs.
• Collect mechanical discipline data, monitor performance against KPIs, and report corrective actions to lead maintenance.
• Plan and control inventory of mechanical spares, issue spares for job execution, and support procurement activities.
• Assist in preparing maintenance cost and budgeting processes and analyze utilization.
• Execute and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks with quality and safety, ensuring timely completion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise production and quality loss.
• Analyse equipment condition, monitor performance trends, and implement preservation activities.
• Coordinate and manage shutdown jobs according to schedule.
