Mechanical Engineer – Pumping Station

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer – Pumping Station will deliver comprehensive engineering solutions for gas infrastructure projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and execution. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet local regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall engineering analysis, specifications, and procurement support for infrastructure projects.
• Develop feasibility studies and compare gas options (LPG, SNG, etc.) for new developments.
• Design gas farms, primary and secondary pressure regulating stations, and associated piping networks for various scales.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC, GASCO, Civil Defense, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
• Oversee project execution, manage risks, and maintain QA/QC documentation.
• Act as primary client liaison, delivering regular progress updates.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and assist in budgeting and resource planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with emerging gas‑infrastructure technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gas distribution, transmission, or storage system design.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards (ADNOC, GASCO, NFPA, Civil Defense).
• Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including risk mitigation and client communication.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and coordinating with contractors and authorities.
