Mechanical Designer (Tech Specialist) – Engine Cooling Fan

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer (Tech Specialist) to join our Engine Cooling Fan (ECF) product line within the PS‑TS portfolio. The role involves designing, validating, and supporting cooling fan systems while collaborating with global teams and preparing for a future Lead Engineer position.

Key responsibilities

• Design cooling fans, shrouds and system packaging using NX (Unigraphics).
• Apply DFMEA, DVP&R and validation methods to ensure product quality.
• Perform thermal and aerodynamic analysis (heat transfer, CFD, FEA) to optimise performance and NVH.
• Select materials and support manufacturing processes such as injection molding and die‑casting.
• Conduct vibration and endurance testing, ensuring compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and SAE standards.
• Maintain CAD data, naming conventions and BOMs in Teamcenter.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, mentor junior engineers and coordinate with suppliers.
• Interact with customers, address technical queries and align designs with OEM requirements.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8‑12 years of relevant experience in mechanical design for automotive cooling systems.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work in a global, multi‑disciplinary environment.

Required skills

• NX (Unigraphics) CAD modelling.
• DFMEA and DVP&R methodologies.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Thermal and aerodynamic analysis.
• Teamcenter data management.
• Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 and SAE standards.
• Injection molding and die‑casting processes.
• Vibration analysis and endurance testing.
