Mechanical Design Engineer – Ahmedabad

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Ahmedabad. You will be responsible for creating and developing mechanical systems and products, ensuring they meet technical specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Execute project‑specific engineering designs based on technical specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including GA drawings, Bills of Materials, manufacturing files, and as‑built records.
• Perform mechanical and structural calculations to validate designs.
• Modify and improve existing standard products to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with production and supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
• Support new product development and design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal guidelines.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing and technical issues during project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience performing mechanical/structural calculations.
• Good understanding of fabrication and welding processes.
