ME Technician IV – Manufacturing Equipment Support

About the role

Jabil is seeking an ME Technician IV to provide equipment and process support within its manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring high availability and supporting new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and complete accurate maintenance records.
• Prioritize work based on production schedules and act as the first point of contact in escalation procedures.
• Serve as the front‑line liaison between Machine Support and Manufacturing teams, providing training to technicians.
• Identify repetitive equipment issues, develop long‑term solutions, and support NPI and prototype runs.
• Drive improvements in line metrics, yields, and equipment downtime, aiming for less than 5% downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and achieve 100 % on‑time completion of PM tasks.
• Measure department performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and stakeholders.
• Proven problem‑definition, data‑collection, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using a personal computer with Windows operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including familiarity with Jabil’s internal software packages.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to read and interpret visual aids and simple instructions.
