Manufacturing Projects Engineer – CapEx & Reliability

About the role

The Project & Maintenance Mechanical Engineer leads capital projects and drives reliability improvements across plant assets. The role combines project management, root‑cause analysis, and preventive maintenance development to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Identify and develop improvement opportunities based on safety, productivity, and reliability goals.
• Coordinate procurement activities, vendor selection, and contractor management.
• Monitor project execution for quality, cost, and timeline adherence.
• Lead commissioning, startup, and hand‑over activities, maintaining full documentation and lessons learned.
• Conduct downtime analysis of major and chronic issues, develop and implement corrective solutions.
• Create sustainability plans (e.g., preventive maintenance programs) and transfer ownership to operational teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Project Management certification (preferred).

Required skills

• Technical expertise with gearboxes, pumps, air compressors, twin‑screw extruders, chillers, cooling towers, fire‑water systems, diesel generators, HVAC, piping, and rotating equipment.
• CAPEX project management and commissioning experience.
• Downtime analysis and reliability improvement methodologies.
• Development of preventive maintenance and sustainability plans.
