Manufacturing Process / Industrial / Facility Engineer

About the role

Tata Elxsi is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Process, Industrial and Facility Engineer to develop and optimise production processes across Battery Pack Assembly, Electric Drive Unit (EDU)/E‑Axle and Trim & Final Assembly lines. The role involves end‑to‑end responsibility for process design, equipment specification and launch readiness in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for battery, EDU and trim & final assembly domains.
• Define process flows, PFMEA, control plans and detailed work instructions.
• Lead CAPEX planning, equipment specification and procurement support.
• Manage line setup, installation, commissioning and launch readiness.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing and capacity planning (M.O.S.T certification preferred).
• Drive cycle‑time reduction, productivity improvements and cost optimisation.
• Lead project execution, coordinate stakeholders and track milestones.
• Ensure HSE compliance and support automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Required profile

• 3 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing process, industrial or facility engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with battery pack assembly, electric drive units or automotive trim & final assembly.
• Proven ability to lead CAPEX projects and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
