Manager, Data Scientist

About the role

Mastercard’s Optimization Solutions team is looking for a Manager, Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics initiatives that improve digital payment performance worldwide. You will partner with global, cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and operationalize data‑driven solutions that have a measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global stakeholders to create and maintain advanced analytics and data‑science solutions.
• Build, deploy, and scale machine‑learning models that generate actionable insights for product optimization, growth, and sales enablement.
• Lead end‑to‑end design and technical oversight of complex ML solutions, ensuring scalability and engineering excellence.
• Develop, validate, monitor, and continuously improve predictive models, statistical techniques, and algorithms aligned with business goals.
• Establish best practices for statistical analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Translate model results and experimental findings into clear, data‑driven insights for senior business and product leaders.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines for ingestion, aggregation, and processing of large‑scale, high‑dimensional datasets.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI and ML technologies to keep solutions state‑of‑the‑art.

Required profile
