Maintenance Technician – UHT Processing

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – UHT is responsible for ensuring safe, timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of UHT processing equipment and related plant machinery. The role supports continuous production, upholds hygiene standards, and contributes to reduced downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive and corrective maintenance on main and auxiliary equipment in assigned areas.
• Execute skilled repairs, daily machine care, and scheduled lubrication, coordinating spare parts as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls to maximise machine availability.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and PPE requirements while maintaining hygiene in food‑production zones.
• Identify and stop mechanical, chemical, water, or pneumatic leakages, escalating when isolation or production stoppage is required.
• Maintain UHT processing equipment, pumps, valves, homogenizers, ventilation blowers, Tetra Pak filling and packaging machines, robot palletizers, CIP stations, and material‑handling equipment.
• Comply with ISO, HACCP, GMP requirements and participate in audits and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or ITI (Fitter).
• 6–10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in UHT or dairy processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP and ISO standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Maintenance of UHT preprocessing equipment, sterilizers, homogenizers and aseptic tanks.
• Hands‑on experience with Tetra Pak filling machines and related packaging equipment.
• Operation and upkeep of robot palletizers, CIP stations and material‑handling systems.
• Preventive maintenance planning and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic system diagnostics.
