Maintenance Technician – Automotive Lighting

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our automotive lighting production site in Derabassi, Punjab. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of fully‑automatic and semi‑automatic machines through preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, as well as PLC and servo‑drive systems.
• Maintain and calibrate vision‑based poka‑yoke systems (Keyence, Cognex) and implement new error‑proofing solutions.
• Record breakdowns, analyse MTTR, MTBF and machine availability, and produce Pareto and root‑cause analyses using the “Why‑Why” method.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with TS 16949:2009 and ISO 14001:2004 standards, including work orders, spare‑parts inventory and maintenance history.
• Ensure safe working conditions and update daily work management tools.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical engineering.
• 5‑7 years of hands‑on maintenance experience, preferably in the lighting or automotive sector.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with production and quality teams.

Required skills

• Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit troubleshooting.
• PLC programming and maintenance.
• Servo‑drive configuration and maintenance.
• Vision‑system operation (Keyence, Cognex) and poka‑yoke implementation.
• MTTR/MTBF analysis and root‑cause investigation.
• Familiarity with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 documentation requirements.
