Main Plant Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a Main Plant Engineer to lead the design and optimisation of critical plant systems. The role focuses on the engineering of feed water, condensate, steam and turbine equipment within large‑scale power generation facilities. The successful candidate will work on projects involving coal‑based, combined‑cycle and captive power plants for refineries and steel works.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop main plant systems including feed water, condensate, main steam and condenser loops.
• Engineer steam turbines, gas turbines and associated feed water pump packages.
• Specify and integrate vertical and centrifugal pumps, heat‑exchanger units and related equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with plant performance and safety standards.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and operational phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system design for coal‑based, combined‑cycle or captive power plants.
• Background in projects for refineries, steel plants or similar industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamic cycles and plant integration.
