Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will plan, coordinate and execute inbound and outbound logistics for a high‑voltage switchgear manufacturing unit. This role ensures timely receipt of materials, proper storage, accurate dispatch of finished goods and strict adherence to safety and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate dispatch of finished switchgear panels, breakers, accessories and spare parts, ensuring proper packaging, labeling and transportation.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation such as invoices, packing lists and delivery challans, and track shipments to final delivery.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, quality, finance and warehouse teams to align logistics with manufacturing schedules.
• Communicate material shortages, delays and dispatch status, and support urgent material movements.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, transport regulations and safety standards for handling heavy and electrical equipment.
• Maintain accurate logistics records for audits and traceability, and report incidents.
• Prepare regular reports on inbound/outbound movements, inventory status and shipment progress.
• Monitor logistics performance indicators and identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment or heavy engineering industries is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and logistics documentation.
• Understanding of handling and transporting heavy or electrical equipment.
