Head of Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Logistics to lead the outbound distribution of scooters and related components from our Hosur manufacturing plant to regional hubs and dealer showrooms. The role will drive high‑velocity logistics, manage international shipment workflows and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure flawless, high‑velocity distribution of scooters from plant to hubs and dealer showrooms.
• Oversee fulfillment of spares, accessories and charging infrastructure for retail and service networks.
• Act as primary liaison for Sales and Service teams, handling month‑end surges while maintaining damage‑free deliveries.
• Lead execution of international business unit shipments and global freight workflows.
• Manage relationships with Custom House Agents and global freight partners to accelerate clearances and outbound forwarding.
• Monitor port activities to avoid demurrage penalties and financial leakage.
• Direct real‑time GPS tracking of transporters and enforce E‑way bill compliance.
• Control logistics costs, including premium freight usage, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
• 12‑15+ years of core operations experience in outbound transportation, EXIM or last‑mile logistics within automotive OEMs, FMCG or large retail/e‑commerce.
• Proven track record of managing high‑velocity distribution networks and international freight operations.
• Strong financial discipline in logistics budgeting and cost control.
