About the role

We are seeking a proactive Linux System and Networking Engineer to manage and enhance our enterprise infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux server administration, virtualization platforms, and robust network operations across the organization.

Key responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) in both physical and virtual environments.
Manage web, database, file, and directory services such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Samba, and LDAP.
Develop automation scripts using Bash, Ansible, or Python to improve system reliability.
Administer Proxmox VE and VMware vCenter/ESXi environments, handling VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and resource optimization.
Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, routing, trunking, and link aggregation.
Operate firewalls (pfSense, iptables, FortiGate) and VPN solutions (OpenVPN, WireGuard) and monitor network performance with tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, and NetFlow.
Perform security hardening, patch management, and periodic compliance audits.
Provide tier‑2/3 support and document infrastructure, diagrams, and SOPs.

Required profile

3–5+ years of Linux system administration and networking experience.
3+ years managing Proxmox or VMware vCenter environments.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, and NAT.
Relevant certifications (RHCE, VCP, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
