Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Linux System Administrator to manage and optimise our Linux‑based infrastructure in Indore. You will ensure high availability, security and performance of servers while automating routine tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Ubuntu, RHEL and CentOS operating systems.
• Manage physical and virtual Linux servers, including provisioning, upgrades and decommissioning.
• Monitor system resources, perform health checks and conduct audits.
• Implement firewall rules, apply patches, manage user accounts and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Design and operate backup and disaster‑recovery processes, verify restores and support business continuity.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Bash scripts and Python.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience managing enterprise Linux environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• VMware (or similar virtualization platform)
• Bash shell scripting
• Python for automation
• Monitoring tools: top, htop, vmstat, iotop, netstat
• Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching
• Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
