Linux Server Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Linux Server Administrator to join our Data Center Operations team in Kochi. You will be responsible for maintaining high‑availability Linux environments, managing virtualization platforms, and ensuring the security and performance of critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and optimize Linux servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Deploy and maintain Proxmox VE virtualization environments, including VMs and containers.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and availability.
• Perform backups, recovery testing, and disaster‑recovery operations.
• Configure and troubleshoot network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
• Integrate CDN and DNS services for efficient content delivery.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics, coordinate upgrades, and replace components.
• Implement server hardening, patch management, and security best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• 1+ years of hands‑on Linux server administration experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with onsite teams.

Required skills

• Linux administration (file systems, user management, services, package management).
• Shell scripting and system automation.
• Proxmox VE virtualization, VM and container management.
• TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, firewalls.
• PXE boot and network‑based OS deployment.
• Backup, disaster recovery, and preventive maintenance.
• System monitoring and alerting tools.
• Server hardening, vulnerability management, access control, authentication, log management.
