Legal Team Member

About the role

Aditya Birla Finance Limited is seeking a Legal Team Member to support its legal operations in Mumbai. The role involves handling case documentation, managing legal MIS reporting, processing vendor invoices and maintaining expense records, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and maintain case files, affidavits, petitions and supporting documents, ensuring proper notarization and chain‑of‑custody procedures.
• Coordinate timely filings for hearings, submissions and other legal compliances.
• Update case status, hearing dates and outcomes in legal MIS tools; generate periodic governance and audit reports; maintain error‑free dashboards.
• Process invoices from external counsel, law firms and legal vendors, coordinate with Finance for timely payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Track and record all legal expenses, including court fees, counsel charges and travel costs; prepare monthly expense summaries for budgeting and cost monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Experience in collection for mid‑market or corporate clients.
• Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.
• High integrity and ethical standards.
• Effective communication and reporting abilities.
• Process‑oriented mindset with innovative approach.
• Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand complex deals and flexibility for travel.
