Legal Head

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Head to lead all legal matters for a fast‑moving live‑event company. Reporting directly to the founders, you will provide decisive advice, close high‑stakes deals quickly, and protect the business from disputes and IP risks.

Key responsibilities

• Advise founders and senior leadership on legal implications of business decisions.
• Lead legal work on investments, partnerships, restructurings and fund‑raise/IPO preparation.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, creating templates and playbooks for the team.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution from inception to settlement, weighing costs versus business impact.
• Oversee trademark, IP enforcement and compliance with applicable laws.
• Provide real‑time legal support for live events, handling cancellations, refunds and liability issues.
• Build, mentor and manage a small in‑house legal team, reducing reliance on external counsel.

Required profile

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
• 8‑12 years of experience in commercial contracts, litigation and in‑house legal roles, with proven team‑leadership.
• Track record of leading deals, restructurings, fund‑raise or IPO preparation.
• Experience in the start‑up or fast‑paced event industry is preferred.
