Legal Counsel – French Qualified (Mumbai)

About the role

Air Charter Service is seeking a French‑qualified Legal Counsel to join its Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Mumbai. The role supports international commercial activity by providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a range of aviation‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions, and aviation agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal advice on international commercial, operational and regulatory issues, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management.
• Manage the shared Legal mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to global stakeholders.
• Support global governance and company secretarial matters, including routine filings and corporate record maintenance.
• Assist with cross‑border data privacy matters, reviewing data processing agreements and supporting internal compliance.
• Coordinate disputes and litigation, preparing concise reports for senior leadership.
• Contribute to the development of legal processes, templates and playbooks to improve departmental efficiency.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable institute; qualification in French law is advantageous.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in both English and French.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Strong judgement, integrity and capacity to operate independently.

• Strong contract drafting abilities.
