Legal Counsel – French Qualified (Mumbai)

About the role

Air Charter Service is seeking a French‑qualified Legal Counsel to join its Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Mumbai. You will work closely with Bids, Compliance, Sales and other non‑sales teams, providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on international, operational and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions, and aviation‑related agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide commercial legal advice, identify risks and propose practical solutions to senior management.
• Manage the shared Legal mailbox, ensuring timely and consistent support for global stakeholders.
• Support corporate governance and company secretarial duties, including routine filings and record maintenance.
• Assist with cross‑border data privacy issues, reviewing data processing agreements and supporting internal compliance.
• Coordinate disputes and litigation, preparing concise reports for senior leadership.
• Develop and improve legal processes, templates and playbooks to enhance departmental efficiency.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable institute; qualification in French law is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
