Learning and Development Manager

About the role

The Learning and Development Manager will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning programmes across Subko’s coffee, bakehouse and cacao operations. Based on‑site in Mumbai, the role supports both frontline staff and corporate teams, aligning development initiatives with the brand’s craft‑focused culture and growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs analysis and design end‑to‑end learning programmes, including curricula, workshops and on‑the‑job training.
• Facilitate in‑person training sessions and manage learning content within the company’s LMS.
• Partner with line managers to build role‑specific capabilities and career pathways.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop talent pipelines, succession plans and leadership development initiatives.
• Monitor training effectiveness through metrics, feedback and performance data.
• Maintain comprehensive learning documentation and continuously improve learning strategies.
• Ensure all learning initiatives reflect Subko’s craft‑driven values and support business growth.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of proven experience in Learning & Development or a similar HR function, managing full training cycles.
• Strong expertise in Training & Development, Learning Management and Instructional Design.
• Experience in Leadership Development, talent pipeline creation and succession planning.
• Background in hospitality, food & beverage, specialty coffee or retail environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Psychology or related field; relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Comfort working on‑site in a fast‑paced, craft‑driven environment.
