Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the Skywise Software Factory team in Bangalore. You will drive the design, development, and delivery of backend data and API solutions that support flight operation services for airlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design low‑level architecture for new features and lead trade‑study decisions.
• Own coding, testing, documentation, and debugging of assigned tasks.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor squad members.
• Participate in story estimation, test case review, and test automation.
• Support agile and SAFe processes, including continuous integration and deployment.
• Lead L3 support activities and drive continuous improvement within the squad.

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a passion for technology.
• Experience leading a software development squad and delivering high‑quality code.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
