Lead Quality Engineer

About the role

Responsive, the market leader in Strategic Response Management SaaS, is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to own end‑to‑end quality assurance for its platform. You will guide a growing QE team, drive automation, and partner with product, development and DevOps to deliver reliable, high‑performance software.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the QE team, set goals and align with business objectives.
• Define QE strategy, design test cases and oversee functional, regression, non‑functional and exploratory testing.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API and performance testing using Playwright, Karate and JMeter.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and ensure continuous delivery quality.
• Track defects, conduct root‑cause analysis and continuously improve testing processes.
• Collaborate with product, development and DevOps teams in Agile ceremonies to set quality targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 8+ years of software quality engineering experience, including 1‑2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with UI automation, API testing and performance testing.
• Proven ability to build scalable test automation frameworks and drive test automation adoption.
