Lead DevOps Engineer – Public Cloud (AWS & Azure)

About the role

CGI is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate public‑cloud container platforms on AWS and Azure. The role will be based in Bangalore (or Chennai) and will focus on delivering secure, scalable Kubernetes environments for internal application teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the technical infrastructure required to host Azure and AWS services for applications.
• Deploy, configure and manage Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS) and related dependencies.
• Develop and integrate cloud‑native services such as DNS, NTP, centralized logging, encryption, security controls and compliance tooling.
• Automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) approaches.
• Maintain lifecycle management, monitor performance, availability and capacity of containerized environments.
• Troubleshoot platform‑level issues related to cloud resources, networking, Kubernetes components and security.
• Support the Container Entity by delivering standardized, secure Kubernetes clusters as internal products.

Required profile

• 9‑14 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CKA, CKAD, AWS or Azure are highly desirable.
