Lead – Commercial Sourcing

About the role

We are looking for a Lead – Commercial Sourcing to drive end‑to‑end equipment and material procurement for a greenfield semiconductor assembly and testing facility. You will be responsible for building a resilient, compliant supply ecosystem from scratch, ensuring uninterrupted availability of critical tools and consumables for qualification, ramp‑up and steady‑state production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a phase‑wise equipment procurement master plan aligned with construction schedules, clean‑room readiness and tool hook‑up sequences.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiate long‑term contracts and secure critical equipment, materials and consumables.
• Create total cost of ownership (TCO) models and should‑cost analyses for high‑value assets.
• Coordinate slot reservations, factory installations, spares readiness and service level agreements to meet tool move‑in, qualification and ramp milestones.
• Mitigate risks related to single sourcing, geopolitics, logistics, purity and contamination control.
• Collaborate with logistics, customs and compliance teams to ensure adherence to local and global trade and tax regimes.
• Define category strategies for each toolset, evaluating new vs refurbished, OEM vs third‑party options.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement for high‑tech manufacturing, preferably semiconductor or electronics equipment.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex supplier contracts.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain risk management, logistics and customs compliance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, construction, logistics and finance teams.
