Manufacturing System Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing System Engineer will lead the resolution of existing manufacturing gaps and strengthen production stability by improving system, process, and operational effectiveness. You will partner closely with NPI/NTI teams to mitigate ramp risks and ensure a safe, high‑quality transition to high‑volume manufacturing (HVM) in line with Automotive IATF requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive resolution of gaps across operations, MES, and DM/IDM systems to ensure stable production.
• Act as the central integration and escalation lead among Production, Equipment Engineering, and IT/MES.
• Partner with NPI/NTI teams early to identify and mitigate manufacturing ramp risks.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer standards, maintaining audit‑ready operations.
• Lead quality and operational excellence programs, reducing human‑induced defects.
• Deploy Operational FMEA and integrate its outputs into production controls and MES workflows.
• Maintain ESD compliance on the production floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Manufacturing or related engineering discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience in semiconductor, OSAT or electronics manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• MES and DM/IDM systems integration.
• IATF 16949 compliance.
• Operational Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• ESD compliance management.
• Data‑driven corrective and preventive action implementation.
