Instrumentation Engineer – Pipeline Project (Assam)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Instrumentation Engineers to join a pipeline project in Biswanath/Sipajhar, Assam. The role involves ensuring all instrumentation, control, and safety systems are correctly installed, calibrated, and ready for pipeline commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, including loop checks, calibration, and testing of field instruments and DCS/PLC/ESD/SCADA systems.
• Verify, calibrate, and troubleshoot smart transmitters, control valves, motor‑operated valves (MOVs), and analyzers.
• Test Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Fire & Gas Detection Systems, including cause‑and‑effect matrices and alarm functionality.
• Provide troubleshooting support during Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Pre‑Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
• Ensure all instrumentation, control, and safety systems are fully operational before pipeline commissioning.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering.
• Engineer Grade A: minimum 3 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Engineer Grade B: minimum 6 years of post‑qualification experience.

Required skills

• Loop checks and calibration of field instruments.
• DCS, PLC, ESD and SCADA system testing.
• Smart transmitter, control valve and MOV troubleshooting.
• Analyzer verification and calibration.
• Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) testing.
