Lead Business Analyst - Trade Surveillance

About the role

The role sits in the Trade Management team and focuses on building the in-house strategic cross-asset risk platform SABRE, the bank's platform for trade processing, valuation and market. It designs and delivers solutions for SABRE users, starting with onboarding new products, driving enhancement solutions, planning project timelines and working with users and developers. The main focus is the Trade Data Store (TDS2), so experience in trade booking, lifecycling and pricing with static or market data is preferable.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders across Financial Markets project teams, agree timelines and funding, and manage governance requirements with the technical development manager.
• Keep cross-discipline teams on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules.
• Document workshop actions, track deliverables, prepare gap analyses, business requirement documents and project approval requests.
• Work with subject matter experts, document and raise risks and issues to product owners, business owners and program management.
• Take part in project testing cycles and help prepare test packs.
• Understand current systems and processes and define requirements for system and process improvements.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in business analysis, solution design and end-to-end delivery in Financial Markets.
• Deep, strong experience in equities, fixed income, commodities (especially precious and base metals) or FX options (FXO strategies and structures).
• Ability to work proactively and independently, with strong initiative.
• Meticulous documentation of project artifacts, discussions, risks and functional specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high standard of English.

Required skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices.
• Technical background in reviewing code changes is preferable.
• Nice to have: certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or PMP; knowledge of large-scale financial markets platforms; experience in trade surveillance and MAR.
