Lead Automation Tester

About the role

A client of DXC Luxoft, a leading manufacturer of high-end household appliances expanding into new smart product lines, is running a large-scale global program across its IP portfolio. The program covers new embedded software, cloud infrastructure enhancements and mobile app interfaces. The Lead Automation Tester is responsible for building and running automated tests, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines and performing integration and regression testing.

Key responsibilities

• Complete tasks within the agreed timeframe and according to design and functional specifications, taking full accountability for quality and timely delivery.
• Create test cases based on requirements and software architecture, build the test environment and execute test cases.
• Report test results and feature status, log results and register defects in a defect tracking system.
• Verify, validate and reproduce defects.
• Make test-design decisions according to the test plan and strategy.
• Automate tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform integration and regression testing.

Required profile

• Degree in computer science or a comparable field.
• 7+ years of experience setting up automation frameworks and several years with Python and Robot Framework, including custom keyword libraries.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with embedded testing, including sensor, navigation and connectivity verification.
• Good knowledge of mobile UX/UI best practices.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA and Bugzilla.
• Experience collaborating with Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
• Nice to have: continuous learning attitude, safety-critical standards knowledge and cloud testing experience.
