Lead Auditor - Integrated Management System (QHSE)

About the role

The Lead Auditor will conduct audits of client organisations against the requirements of relevant standards. Many certified organisations are moving from stand‑alone certifications to integrated management systems, so the auditor must be qualified across all schemes. The role operates under the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, Code of Ethics and Group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out audits in line with ISO 19011, Bureau Veritas Management System and BVC India Operations Manual.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory requirements and technologies for the audited schemes.
• Manage the full audit cycle efficiently, from planning through reporting.
• Coordinate with the audit team leader and report any unexpected situations during the audit.
• Ensure compliance with BV Cardinal Safety Rules and company HSE policies.
• Support sales by identifying and passing on business leads.

Required profile

• Science or Engineering graduate with 6‑8 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years conducting 2nd or 3rd party audits.
• Successfully completed a registered lead auditor course for the reference standard.
• Knowledge of ISO 17021 and ISO 17065 requirements.
• Familiarity with the terminology and principles of the relevant standards.
