Junior Service Desk Engineer

About the role

Guidehouse India is seeking a motivated Junior Service Desk Engineer to join its User Support team. In this entry‑level position you will provide first‑line IT assistance to global users, handling incidents and service requests across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user queries via calls, chats, and tickets and log each interaction in the ticketing system.
• Prioritize and resolve incidents according to defined SLAs, covering Windows OS, MS Office, email, internet connectivity and peripheral devices.
• Escalate complex issues to higher‑level support teams following standard procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions and user communications.
• Adhere to IT policies, security guidelines and work night‑shift rotations to support 24/7 operations for US and other global locations.

Required profile

• Engineering or Science graduate (or equivalent qualification); fresher level.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic hands‑on knowledge of laptops, desktops and peripherals.
• Understanding of Windows operating systems and MS Office tools.
• Good problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to work rotational night shifts covering 24/7 support.
